WANA: Security forces killed 13 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Wednesday.

“On December 24-25, 2024, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan district on reports of terrorist presence,” stated the ISPR.

The statement said security forces targeted the terrorists effectively, killing 13. These militants were involved in numerous attacks on security forces and the killing of civilians, it added.

A sanitisation operation is ongoing to clear the area of any remaining threats. Pakistan’s security forces are resolute in eradicating terrorism from the country, the ISPR affirmed.
