2 apprehended for impersonating NAB officers

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has apprehended two suspects impersonating as officers of the accountability watchdog in an intelligence-based operation .

According to NAB intelligence wing, the arrested suspects have been identified as Bilawal Haroon and Akmal. Both suspects used to identify themselves as bureau officers to gain financial benefits from common citizens.

“Bogus stamps, letterheads, visiting cards, fabricated documents of sensitive institutions, fake service cards, tempered identity cards and edited pictures were recovered from them,” a statement from  NAB said.

The action against the suspects was taken after receiving complaints from citizens in the open court held last month at NAB’s Lahore office.
