WEB DESK: Muslims worldwide, including those in Pakistan, are anxiously anticipating the imminent arrival of the sacred and compassionate month of Ramadan.
Renowned foreign astronomer Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, who serves as the director of the Emirates Astronomical Society, has shared insights on the likely commencement date of Ramadan 2024.
In a recently released report, Al-Jarwan conveyed that astronomical calculations point to the commencement of Ramadan in the second week of March 2024.
While Eid-ul-Fitr is anticipated to occur on April 10, 2024 in Pakistan, it is important to note that official confirmation of these dates is still pending.
Highlighting the astronomical aspect, Al-Jarwan’s predictions align with celestial observations.
The moon of Jumadi al-Thani 1445 Hijri has been sighted across the country, with the initial sighting occurring on Friday, December 15.
As Muslims prepare for the sacred month, the precise dates for Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr are yet to be formally announced in Pakistan.
