35 militants killed in KP operations

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed 30 Indian-sponsored foreign militants in a series of operations in North Waziristan, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR said weapons and explosives were also recovered from the slain militants during the operation.

A major infiltration attempt from Afghanistan was foiled in the Hasan Khel area of North Waziristan.

Security forces, displaying swift and professional response, prevented what could have been a major tragedy, the statement added.

ISPR further urged the interim Afghan government to ensure its soil is not used against Pakistan.

Security forces remain determined and resolute in eliminating terrorism from the country,” the ISPR emphasised.
