35 more marriage halls sealed in Faislabad

FAISALABAD: The administration has sealed 35 marriage halls within the past month due to violations of the One-Dish and Marriage Act.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh stated on Saturday that administrative officers had launched a robust campaign against such violations in Faisalabad.

The campaign, initiated on November 4, is still ongoing. In addition to the closures, the teams imposed fines totalling Rs16.3 million on the owners and managers of marriage halls. Seventeen caterers were arrested, and 34 cases were registered against them, he added.
