5.9 earthquake jolts KP

PESHAWAR: A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday morning, causing panic among residents.

The tremors were strongly felt in Dir and its surrounding areas, with weaker tremors reported in Chitral and Swat.

There was no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage

According to the met department in Islamabad, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan and its depth was 187 kilometers.
