Earlier, police and the family’s lawyer confirmed that the industrialist has contacted his family and will soon be with his loved ones.

“Zulfiqar Ahmed has reached his home in Lahore,” DIG South Asad Raza said in a statement. However, there are no details about his abductors or where he was kept during this period.

He was reportedly on his way to Clifton with his friend, Qaisar, after a meeting when they were stopped by eight individuals in a double-cabin vehicle. The abductors forced them into their vehicle and drove away.

After driving a short distance, the abductors released Qaisar, who then informed Zulfiqar’s family about the incident.

According to reports, police had refused to register the case, forcing the family to approach the Sindh High Court, which ordered the police to file the case on Friday.

The police confirmed that a case under Section 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) of the Pakistan Penal Code had been registered at the Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station.
