ISLAMABAD: Pakistan security forces have eliminated an Afghan spy while he was attempting to flee back into Afghanistan near the border.
According to sources, on January 11, security forces achieved a major victory near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border by neutralising an Afghan spy attempting to flee to Afghanistan.
The eliminated terrorist has been identified as Mohammad Khan Ahmad Khail, son of Haji Mohammad Qasim Dawran Khan, according to sources.
The 48-year-old terrorist, known as Abdullah, was a resident of Afghanistan’s Paktika province. An Afghan identity card was also recovered from him.

Sources revealed that Mohammad Khan, also known as Abdullah, was working for the Afghan intelligence agency in Pakistan.
He was involved in smuggling weapons and ammunition from Afghanistan into Qila Saifullah, Zhob, and Loralai in Pakistan to supply them to terrorists.
The smuggled weapons were reportedly used in terrorist attacks within Pakistan.
According to defense experts, for some time now, terrorism in Pakistan has been linked to Afghanistan and despite the provision of ample proof provided to the Afghan interim government, the Afghan authorities have failed to take measures against terrorism emanating from their side

Experts emphasised that the Afghan government must abandon its duplicitous strategies and take decisive action to curb external terrorism.
