ISLAMABAD: Additional Sessions Judge West, Afzal Majoka, has been appointed as the judge for cases related to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) in Islamabad, according to a nomination order as issued by Islamabad Sessions Judge Azam Khan.
According to the office order, Judge Afzal Majoka will now preside over trials related to PECA. This follows a notification issued by the Ministry of Law on July 19, which outlined the establishment of PECA courts.

The notification authorized sessions judges, additional sessions judges, and civil judges to conduct trials under PECA. The office order also designates the court of Senior Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate as PECA courts.
In the absence of an additional sessions judge or civil judge, duty magistrates will hear the cases, as stated in the office order.
