AKU to retake MBBS entry test after complaints

KARACHI: Aga Khan University’s Medical College, on Tuesday announced that it will conduct a retest for the entry test of the MBBS programme, following complaints from students who appeared in the initial test.
This marks the first instance in the university’s history where a test is being retaken due to concerns raised by students.
According to the university’s website, the entry test was initially held on Sunday. The website states that Agha Khan University is aware of the ongoing discussions regarding the annual entry test for its MBBS programme, scheduled to take place at the Medical College in Pakistan on August 6.
“To uphold our commitment to fairness and academic excellence, the Aga Khan University has decided to redo the entrance test for the MBBS programme, 2023-2024 academic year. The revised entry test is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Further details will be communicated to the candidates from the AKU Admissions Office,” the notification issued by the university read.
