AirSial Expands International Operations to UAE with first-ever flight to Dubai

AirSial

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani airline company, AirSial has expanded its operations to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the first ever flight to Dubai departing from Islamabad on Monday.

Before this, AirSial has been running multiple domestic routes, as well as flights to Saudi Arabia. Today’s flight, however, marks a significant expansion for the airline – which aims to capitalise on the vast market of Pakistanis residing in the UAE.

Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), in a statement, announced the departure of AirSial’s flight to Dubai. The statement also said that a ceremony was held at Islamabad International Airport, with Defence Minister Minister Khawaja Asif as the chief guest.

Hailing from Sialkot himself, Khawaja Asif has been involved in helping the cause of this Sialkot-based airline since its establishment in 2020. It is a project of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has become a renowned choice of frequent travelers in a short span of five years.

At the time of announcement of UAE operations, the airline’s management had expressed gratitude to Khawaja Asif as well as the Punjab government for their support.

AirSial’s first flight to the UAE included 137 passengers, PAA said. Earlier, in May, AirSial Chairman Fazal Jillani had said that the airline hopes to keep the prices competitive and offer Pakistani travelers a quality service at affordable prices.

The Dubai launch is its second international destination, following earlier expansion to Saudi Arabia.
