AJK high court grants bail to ‘missing’ poet Ahmed Farhad

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Kashmir High Court has approved bail for poet Ahmed Farhad. The court set the bond at Rs 200,000.

IHC directs federal govt to compensate missing person’s father with Rs3 million

This decision comes after Farhad had been missing from Islamabad since May, prompting widespread concern.

Farhad’s disappearance led his wife, Urooj Zainab, to file a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The Azad Kashmir police later confirmed his arrest following the petition.

On May 29, the federal government announced that Farhad had been detained in Islamabad, 15 days after he was first reported missing.
