Ali Zafar announces Rs 1m reward for Olympian Arshad Nadeem

KARACHI: World-renowned singer Ali Zafar has announced a reward for Pakistani Olympian Arshad Nadeem, who won a gold medal for Pakistan after 40 years at the Olympics.
Pakistan javelin ace Arshad Nadeem achieved the historic feat by winning a gold medal for Pakistan in the final quest of the Paris Olympics 2024 besides breaking the previous Olympic record with a 92.97-metre massive throw.
Arshad lauched a throw of 92.97-meter in his second attempt which was enough for him to secure gold medal.
Ali Zafar congratulated the Olympian for winning the gold medal and announced the special cash prize through a special post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
He praised Arshad Nadeem for not only winning a gold medal for Pakistan but also setting a record in Olympic history with a throw of 92.97 meters.

In recognition of this historic achievement, Ali Zafar announced a reward of Rs 1 million through his foundation for Arshad Nadeem.
The singer also appealed to the Government of Pakistan to establish a sports academy in Arshad Nadeem’s name.
He further expressed that the Government of Pakistan and the entire nation should give Arshad Nadeem a grand welcome.
Ali Zafar added that if our athletes start receiving the support they deserve, we could win 10 gold medals in a year.
Pakistan won an Olympic medal after the gap of 32 years. The last time Pakistan won an medal was in 1992 when the national hockey team clinched bronze by defeating the Netherlands 4-3 at the Barcelona Olympics.
