LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Arshad Javed of Lahore approved the four-day physical remand of the accused Amina Urooj in the alleged honey-trap case of playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.

The court asked the police for an investigation report in the next hearing and directed to produce the accused again on July 28. Amna gave a statement to the Police that Hasan Shah used to work on the property and he asked her to call Khalilur Rehman Qamar and take ransom.

“Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar took me to Nankana, where Accused Hasan Shah withdrew money from the bank,” accused Amina Urooj.

Khalil alleged that Amna lured him to her house under the pretext of discussing a potential drama project. Once he arrived, armed men kidnapped him and was released after paying a substantial ransom.

The Sundar Police registered a case based on Khalil-ur-Rehman’s statement, which detailed how the abductors tortured him, moved him to different locations, and threatened his life while demanding money from his relatives.
