ANF seizes 1,750 kg drugs, 25,000 intoxicated tablets

WEB DESK: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out nine operations nationwide, resulting in the seizure of more than 1,750 kilogrammes of drugs and 25,000 intoxicated tablets.
Eight individuals were apprehended in connection with these operations, as reported by a spokesperson from the ANF Headquarters on Saturday.
According to the spokesperson, a significant haul of 25,000 intoxicated tablets was intercepted from a female passenger bound for Jeddah at Islamabad Airport.
In a separate operation, 2.2 kilogrammes of ice were discovered in a parcel destined for Greece from the Sialkot Courier Office.
In Qilla Abdullah, Toba Achakzai, authorities recovered 1,425 kilogrammes of hashish. Additionally, near Western Bypass Quetta, two suspects were arrested with 225 kilogramme of hashish.
In Nokundi Chagai, 100 kilogramme of opium were seized, while 45 kilogramme of hashish were confiscated in Gwadar.
Furthermore, 3 kilogrammes of hashish were confiscated from an individual apprehended near RCD Road Hub, while in Dera Ghazi Khan, three suspects were arrested on Sakhi Sarwar Road with 1.5 kilogrammes of ice.
The spokesperson added that 300 grammes of ice were found in the possession of a suspect apprehended from National Highway Hyderabad.
All arrested individuals have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with investigations ongoing.
