ANF seizes massive amount of narcotics across Pakistan

WEB DESK: In a series of coordinated operations across multiple cities, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully seized a substantial quantity of narcotics and arrested six individuals.

According to an ANF spokesperson, the operations were conducted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Hyderabad, Khyber, Mianwali, and Qila Abdullah.

At Karachi Airport, ANF officers recovered 2.2 kilograms of ice and 420 grams of heroin from a passenger. Meanwhile, at Islamabad Airport, 720 narcotic pills were seized from passengers. In Rawalpindi, 546 grams of weed were discovered in a parcel at a local courier office.

In a major bust near Dasht, ANF operatives confiscated 70 kilograms of heroin, marking one of the largest seizures in the series of operations. Additionally, in Qila Abdullah, 14 kilograms of hashish were recovered.

Other significant seizures include 4 kilograms of hashish in Hyderabad, 3.6 kilograms of hashish in Mianwali, and 2 kilograms of narcotic pills in Khyber. In the Rawat area of Rawalpindi, another 1 kilogram of hashish was recovered from an accused individual.

The ANF has registered cases against the arrested individuals, and investigations are currently underway. These operations highlight the ANF’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking across the country.
