Another earthquake jolts Karachi

KARACHI: Earthquake tremors were once again felt in Karachi on Saturday morning, causing panic among residents.

According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake struck at 9:53 AM. It measured 3.2 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 35 kilometres.

The epicentre was located 12 kilometres south of Malir, as per the centre’s report.

Experts say the quake was minor in intensity, but the frequent tremors have raised concern among the public. Since June 1, Karachi has experienced 39 tremors so far.

Experts have warned that repeated seismic activity in a densely populated city like Karachi could be a sign of potential danger.
