Another rain spell expected next week

ISLAMABAD: The meteorological department has predicted that another spell of rain is expected from next week in some areas of Punjab, Islamabad and upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The weather system is predicted to arrive on March 10 and is likely to result in two to three spells of rain with periodic gaps between March 11th and 21st.

Rain is expected is Lahore from March 9 till March 11, according to the met department.

There are chances of rain, snowfall and hailstorm with high winds during this period of time.

These are spring season post-winter rains with WD systems usually these systems are aggressive and can cause damage with high winds and hailstorms, according to the met office

KARACHI TEMEPERATURES TO RISE

In Karachi, the temperatures will continue to rise. According to the met office Karachi temperatures are expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

The humidity level in Karachi is expected to remain between 15 per cent and 25 per cent, but the Meteorological Department has ruled out the possibility of a heatwave.

Experts explain that heatwaves usually occur due to a prolonged suspension of sea breezes, high humidity, and temperatures exceeding 40°C. However, these conditions are not expected under the current weather pattern.
