Anti-terrorism court grants bail to 98 PTI workers

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted bail to 98 workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who were arrested for allegedly violating section 144, vandalism and rioting.
The court ordered the accused to deposit a bond of Rs100,000 as a condition for the release.

The arrests took place during protests organised by the PTI, which ended in clashes with the police. Cases were registered against the workers in seven different police stations across Rawalpindi.
The court’s decision to grant bail follows the legal proceedings related to the protests and the charges filed against the accused.
