DHA residents demand eviction of Armaghan Qureshi’s family

KARACHI: Fearing for their safety residents of Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Karachi have urged the authorities to take action against the father of Armaghan, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case.
DHA residents have written to DG Rangers, IG Sindh, and the Station Commander regarding security concerns after the Murtaza Amir murder case.
In the letter, the DHA residents have demanded that action be taken against Kamran Asghar Qureshi, father of Armaghan for violating DHA rules and he along with his family should be immediately evicted.

They wrote that several times sounds of aerial firing were heard coming from the house under the use of Armagahn due to which an air of fear has spread in the area. They also wrote that Armaghan even kept lions in his house during 2023-2024.
The letter states that Armaghan Qureshi had 100 private security guards and was allegedly involved in harassing women and domestic workers through them.
The letter also highlights that during the February 8 firing incident between Armaghan and the police, the residents felt harassed and were trapped in their homes.
Residents have urged law enforcement agencies to take immediate action to ensure their safety.
