Army chief calls for doing away with bureaucratic red tape

ISLAMABAD: Army Chief Gen Asim Munir has called for doing away with bureaucratic red tape to steer the country towards prosperity and progress.
Addressing a “minerals’ summit” in Islamabad, Gen Asim Munir emphasised the importance of a “One-Step Investment Policy”, seeking to bypass local bureaucratic hurdles and administrative red tape.
To facilitate this, the army chief called for the establishment of an organisation that brings together military, civil bureaucracy, federal, and provincial governments to collectively address challenges.
He asserted that as a nation, “everyone must work hard and strive together to overcome difficulties and steer the country towards prosperity.

The army chief expressed his strong desire to lead Pakistan towards prosperity and progress.
He emphasized the need to hold onto hope and continue working diligently for the country’s development.
Gen Asim Munir called for efficient utilisation of available resources to achieve progress.
He invoked divine blessings and called for unity in working towards Pakistan’s advancement, stating that the country has also adopted the “green energy auto policy” for this purpose.
Furthermore, Gen Munir welcomed foreign investors, assuring them of a business-friendly environment where swift decisions will be made, and their investments will be secure.
He emphasised that the nation will experience economic growth, and foreign investors will face no barriers in conducting business.
“The entry of foreign capital will also introduce new economic technologies, encouraging the establishment of industries,” the army chief said.
