ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir has urged students to focus on their education and prepare themselves to contribute to Pakistan’s development.
Addressing students from various universities and colleges, the army chief said that the youth were the future leaders of Pakistan. He said that the people of Pakistan, especially the youth, share a deep and strong bond with the Pakistan Army, said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He said that all attempts by anti-state elements to create a divide between the army and the public have always failed.
“We take pride in our religion, culture, and traditions. The Pakistani Constitution itself begins with the declaration that sovereignty belongs only to Allah,” he said.

Referring to extremist elements, the army chief questioned, “Which Sharia and religion do these Khawarij speak of? We will never allow their outdated ideology to be imposed on the country. The brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan stand as an iron wall against terrorists.”
Gen Asim Munir urged the youth to embrace “Pakistaniat” and highlighted the army’s role in ensuring national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistani people in the fight against terrorism.
