Arrest warrants of Zartaj Gul cancelled

ISLAMABAD: A local court cancelled the arrest warrants of PTI leader Zartaj Gul after she appeared before the court on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Civil Judge Mubashir Hassan Chishti had issued her arrest warrants due to repeated absence in a case registered at Bara Kahu police station for violating Section 144.

Following the issuance of the warrants, Zartaj Gul appeared before the court and requested their cancellation.

The court accepted her plea and cancelled the warrants, adjourning the hearing until March 12.

It is noteworthy that PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi have already been acquitted in the same case.
