Arshad Nadeem off to South Africa for training after knee surgery

LAHORE: Pakistan’s national javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, has embarked on a five-week training program in South Africa following his recovery from a knee injury.
Arshad Nadeem, who recently underwent surgery, expressed his determination to make the most of his time abroad, stating, “I will do five weeks of training in South Africa.”

Prior to his departure, Nadeem reflected on his rigorous training regimen in Pakistan, where he spent two months preparing for his comeback. “I have trained in Pakistan for two months,” he affirmed, underscoring the dedication he has poured into his rehabilitation.
Grateful for the support he has received, Nadeem extended his thanks to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Pakistan Athletics Federation. He also credited his coach, Salman Iqbal, for his unwavering guidance and hard work.
In a message to his fans, Nadeem urged them to continue offering their prayers for his success. “Requesting fans to pray for me more,” he humbly requested.
