Arshad Nadeem to get a heroic homecoming

LAHORE: Olympian Arshad Nadeem will get a heroic and warm homecoming when he lands at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on Sunday.

After creating history and winning the gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, Arshad Nadeem will take his homecoming flight to Pakistan from Paris on Saturday (tomorrow) at 10 am Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Arshad will reach Pakistan via Dubai at 1 pm (August 11). Provincial Minister of Sports and officials of the Sports Board will welcome Arshad Nadeem at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore.

Sources claimed Arshad Nadeem will be taking a round of Lahore city on the day after August 11 on a double-decker bus after being received from Lahore Airport.

Paris Olympics 2024 award ceremony time announced

Officials of the Provincial Minister Sports Board and other personalities related to sports will also be present with him.

Arshad Nadeem made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics by breaking the Olympic record in the men’s javelin throw with a remarkable 92.97m throw on August 8. The previous record of 90.57m, set by Andreas Thorkildsen at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was surpassed by Nadeem’s world-record-breaking throw, earning him his first Olympic gold medal and Pakistan’s first Olympic medal since 1992.
