ASP Shehrbano to get Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal

LAHORE: To commend ASP Shehrbano for saving a woman from an angry mob, it has been decided to award her with the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal, the highest gallantry award for law enforcement in Pakistan.

The approval to confer the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal upon ASP Shehrbano for her heroic deed will be granted by the Punjab Cabinet.

The session will also be attended by officers besides the Chief Secretary and IG.

It is pertinent to mention that on February 25, in Lahore, a heated crowd accused a woman of blasphemy for wearing attire with Arabic letters.

Timely action by ASP Shehrbano not only prevented the situation from escalating but also ensured the safety of the woman from the enraged crowd.
