ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has deferred proceedings related to bail applications of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and vice chairman in protest-related vandalism cases. Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain adjourned the hearings until November 14.

The ATC was set to deliberate on three bail applications submitted by PTI Chairman. However, these proceedings were adjourned without progress, casting a shadow over the legal aspects of the case.

Additionally, a similar fate befell the bail application of PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, whose hearing was also postponed to November 14.

PTI lawyers Khalid Yusuf, lawyer Sardar Busy, Mirza Asim Baig appeared before the court. However, the prosecutor could not appear before the court as he was on leave at the time.

Notably, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had previously intervened in this legal saga, directing the ATC to re-examine the three bail applications put forth by the PTI chairman.
