ATC sends Yasmin Rashid on 14-day judicial remand

LAHORE: A Lahore anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday sent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in a case pertaining to remarks against state institutions and rioting in the wake of the arrest of PTI Chairman in May.

ATC Judge Abher Gul Khan presided over a hearing in the case against Rashid. The police produced her before the court after her three-day physical remand expired.

The police did not request the court to extend her physical remand, following which the court sent her to 14-day judicial remand. The court also directed the police to present the case file (challan) at the next hearing.
