Lahore: The Lahore Traffic Police has announced that it will take strict action against those disturbing peace to citizens on August 14, Independence Day.
According to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) in Lahore, a crackdown will be launched against people doing one-wheeling, and motorbikers riding without silencers.
Twelve Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), along with a contingent of 210 traffic inspectors and over 2400 wardens, will be on active duty to maintain order.
Six main checkpoints will be set up along the major highways to stop disruptive activities.
A network of jail vans will be stationed at locations across the city to maintain peace.

Additionally, checkpoints will be placed across 255 locations in the city with the help of district police.
The authorities have also established 55 dedicated Special Anti-One-Wheeling Squads, equipped to swiftly address any violations of these regulations.
