Babar Azam moves to No-5 in ICC test rankings


Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the latest test player rankings, with Australian batsmen claiming the top three positions, whereas Babar Azam loses his spot.

Leading the batting rankings is Australian Marnus Labuschagne. Following closely behind is his teammate Steve Smith, who secures the second position.

Meanwhile, Travis Head has secured the third spot, solidifying Australia’s dominance in the batting rankings.

In a slight shift, Pakistan captain Babar Azam, previously holding the fourth position, has dropped one place to the fifth spot, whereas, the fourth position is now held by New Zealand’s captain, Kane Williamson.

Turning to the bowling rankings, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin leads the pack, earning the first position. On the other hand, Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi secures the fifth spot in the bowling rankings.

No Pakistani player could secure a spot in the latest ranking of all-rounders while, India’s Ravindra Jadeja has topped the list.
