Bahria Town Phase 8: Thieves flee away with millions

RAWALPIND: Robbers fled with cash worth millions and other valuables from Bahria Town Phase 8, a locality often touted as a secure residential enclave, raising concerns among residents.

The incident occurred while the family was away from home to attend a wedding.

This period of absence likely provided an opportunity to break into their residence without any immediate discernment and abscond with over Rs 10 million in cash, 15 tolas’ of jewelry and electronic devices worth millions.

Moreover, there were no CCTV cameras installed inside the occupancy, further complicating the investigative process by limiting direct visual evidence of the crime.

Despite this challenge, an investigation has promptly begun.

Law enforcement personnel are actively collecting all available evidence from the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage obtained from other nearby locations within Bahria Town.
