Balaj Tipu case: Police register case following audio leak

LAHORE: A case was registered at the Achhra Police Station in Lahore following Inspector Shakeel Butt’s complaint about an audio leak involving Ahsan Shah, the main suspect in Balaj Tipu murder case.

The case involves several serious allegations against Ahsan Shah’s wife, Tefi Butt, and Gogi Butt.

As per the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the inspector, Gogi Butt and Tefi Butt were allegedly involved in the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu, orchestrated through Ahsan Shah.

The complaint details that Gogi Butt and Tefi Butt were adversaries in the investigation into Balaj Tipu’s murder. The two reportedly issued threats through various channels.

In the FIR, it is also alleged that Gogi Butt and Tefi Butt, in conjunction with Ahsan Butt, planned the murder of Inspector Shakeel Butt.

The case was filed under several legal provisions, including threats, the Telegraph Act and other relevant statutes at the Achhra Police station.

Earlier, an alleged audio recording surfaced online revealing how Ahsan Shah planned to target the police officer who arrested him.

In the leaked audio, Shah can be head discussing his intentions with a female friend while he was imprisoned. The recording reportedly captured Ahsan Shah expressing his desire to flee the country within a month.

The main suspect in Balaj Tipu’s murder identified the officer as a friend of the woman’s father from Badami Bagh. He revealed that he had arranged for a shooter to attack the police officer.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Organised Crime Unit confirmed the recording’s authenticity and announced that it will undergo further forensic analysis.

The latest twist in the Balaj Tipu murder case comes amidst ongoing investigations into the case. Ahsan Shah was arrested as a prime suspect shortly after Balaj Tipu was shot dead.
