QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly session has been summoned on Wednesday (Feb 28) for the oath taking of the newly elected Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPA).
Governor Abdul Wali Kakar of Balochistan has formally announced the convening of the session.
Scheduled for Wednesday at 3 pm, the assembly session will mark the official induction of the elected representatives into their legislative roles.
Speaker Jan Jamali will administer the oath, formalizing their responsibilities.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) emerged as the joint single-largest parties in Balochistan following the elections.

Despite initially securing an equal number of seats, independent candidates aligning with the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) altered the political landscape.
Consequently, while the PPP and PML-N surpassed the JUI-F in seat count, the PML-N opted not to forge a coalition with JUI-F.
Instead, they expressed readiness to share power with the PPP in Balochistan, underscoring the evolving dynamics of provincial governance.
