QUETTA: The third meeting of the caretaker provincial cabinet, presided over by interim Chief Minister Balochistan Ali Mardan Domki, concluded with several significant decisions that aim to enhance transparency, education, taxation, and public services in the province.
In a landmark development, the Balochistan Caretaker Cabinet gave its unanimous approval to the “Right to Information Rules 2022.” This important legislation will bolster government transparency and empower citizens with easier access to government information.

Recognising the importance of taxation, the cabinet directed relevant authorities to formulate proposals in consultation with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) regarding the Sales Tax on Services. This move is expected to optimise revenue collection, contributing to the province’s fiscal stability.
In a bid to enhance security and law enforcement in the region, the cabinet has approved the establishment of a new police station in Tehsil Landhi of Nasirabad, Quetta. This decision aims to strengthen the security infrastructure and maintain law and order in the area.
Furthermore, the Balochistan Cabinet has set a maximum age limit of 35 years for government job applicants. This policy seeks to inject fresh talent and energy into the provincial government while providing opportunities for the youth to serve in the public sector.
