Balochistan is dry; Punjab is cloudy

WEB DESK: The Meteorological Department reports dry weather prevailing in most districts of Balochistan, with notably chilly temperatures in the northern regions. In Quetta, the minimum temperature has plummeted to minus 1 degree Celsius, setting the tone for a cold spell.

Further north, in Kalat, the temperature has dropped even lower, hitting minus 3 degrees Celsius according to the latest data from the Meteorological Department. Meanwhile, Ziarat experiences a frigid climate with a recorded minimum temperature of minus 2 degrees Celsius, contributing to the winter chill.

Moving to Zhob, the temperature hovers around 1 degree Celsius, emphasizing the overall cold weather conditions in the province. On the coastal front, the provincial capital Gwadar maintains milder temperatures, with the minimum recorded at 12 degrees Celsius by the Meteorological Department.

In Punjab, the Lahore Motorway M3 has been reopened for traffic after visibility conditions improved, allowing for smoother travel. Meanwhile, in Multan and its surrounding areas, the weather is reported as dry, cold, and partly cloudy.

The Meteorological Department forecasts a maximum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, with a recorded minimum of 7 degrees Celsius. The air humidity stands at 93 percent, and the Air Quality Index records 228 points. Notably, there’s a chance of fog in Multan and its environs during the night, urging caution for nighttime travelers. Additionally, the visibility was recorded up to 600 meters early in the morning.
