Biden pledges continued support for Pakistan in letter to PM Sharif


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a letter from US President Joe Biden, marking the first correspondence from the US president since Sharif assumed office.

President Biden extended good wishes to the newly elected government, emphasizing the importance of the participation of both nations’ people in ensuring global wellbeing.

Biden pledged US support for Pakistan in facing future challenges, highlighting the significance of a shared vision for public health, economic progress, and education.

Biden underscored the US support for the Pakistan Green Alliance Framework as a means to enhance cooperation for environmental improvement.

“We are committed to safeguarding human rights and promoting development through collaboration between our two nations. Let’s build stronger bonds between the people of both countries,” the US president said.
