WEB DESK: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said Islamabad’s diplomatic position on regional security is being “heard and appreciated” internationally, while sharply criticizing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies during an interview with the BBC.
“The world acknowledges Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts,” said Bilawal, who recently led Pakistan’s delegation at UN meetings. “Even pro-India voices in America admitted New Delhi failed to provide evidence after the Pulwama incident.”
Bilawal slams Jaishankar as ‘war-monger’, accuses India of duplicity in peace talks
The former foreign minister emphasised Pakistan’s peace message but warned of nuclear risks: “We want dialogue, especially given the dangerous backdrop of potential nuclear conflict.”
In his harshest remarks, Bilawal referenced Modi’s controversial Gujarat record: “The ‘Butcher of Gujarat’ title wasn’t coined by us – it came from his own people. Now Modi stands at a historic crossroads: Will he become the ‘Butcher of Kashmir’ or choose peace?”
The interview comes as Bilawal concludes a diplomatic tour where he claimed foreign counterparts expressed willingness to support Pakistan’s position.
