SWABI: As Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gears up for its rally in Islamabad today, a storm is already brewing over the blatant misuse of government resources, sparking widespread criticism.

A reception camp has been set up at the Swabi Interchange to welcome convoys arriving from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the rally at today’s PTI rally location of Sangjani. Chairs have provided for the attendees at the camp, along with official machinery to support the event.

Government resources from different districts of Swabi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are reportedly being utilised at the camp, with vehicles and equipment being transported to facilitate the PTI gathering.

In particular, Rescue 1122 vehicles, which are typically reserved for emergency services, are also present at the site, with their official markings obscured by white stickers.

The indiscriminate use of state resources for what is essentially a political event has drawn criticism, and highlights concerns about the exploitation of taxpayer-funded resources for partisan purposes.
