Multiple explosions heard in Rawalpindi, Islamabad


Several citizens in Islamabad and Rawalpindi reported hearing several blasts in the early hours of Saturday, specifically around 2: 30 am.

ISLAMABAD: Several citizens in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi reported hearing several blasts in the early hours of Saturday, specifically around 2: 30 am.

Sounds of blasts and firing could be heard around sectors G-6, I-8 and I-9 in Islamabad. Residents in Rawalpindi areas of Adiala and Chaklala Scheme 3 also reported hearing sounds of blasts and explosions.

Hums News reporter, Zahid Gishkori, confirmed that two “back to back” blasts were heard in Islamabad, specifically near the Serena Hotel.

Residents also uploaded videos on social media of blasts seen near Old Airport Road, Rawalpindi.
