British diplomat booked in Islamabad accident case

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has registered a case against the third secretary of the British High Commission for hitting a policeman on Constitutional Avenue.
A police officer was injured after being hit by a British diplomat’s vehicle in Islamabad on Monday.
The incident occurred in front of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat when the foreign diplomat’s vehicle collided with a police officer’s motorcycle.
The government’s complaint included negligence and signal violation provisions in the case.

“British High Commission’s third secretary Stacey Joanne Sutoki broke a traffic signal and a high-speed vehicle hit a motorcycle, a policeman was seriously injured,” FIR stated.
The injured police officer Amir Dad Kakar is posted in the security division as per the text of the FIR.
The injured officer was shifted to the Polyclinic Hospital for medical treatment.
In a post on X, the Islamabad police SP Diplomatic Protection Unit Muhammad Tahir visited Constable Amir Dad, who was injured in a road accident, in the hospital.
He wished him a speedy recovery and wished him the best.
