ISLAMABAD: British MP John McDonnell and Dr Nassim Baloch have been lobbying for the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), both of which were internationally designated as terrorist organisations.
Sources said that their efforts for supporting these groups aim to oppose the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and undermine the development and prosperity of Balochistan.
McDonnell, who had previously advocated negotiating with the Irish Republican Army (IRA) for peace in the United Kingdom, was hypocritically supporting anti-Pakistan terrorist narratives.
He has consistently ignored the atrocities committed by groups such as the BLA and BLF, which were responsible for the killings of civilians, attacks on infrastructure and the sabotage of development projects in Balochistan.

Similarly, Dr Nassim Baloch had been misrepresenting Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts as human rights violations, while ignoring the evidence of “missing persons” found in terrorist camps.
Both McDonnell and Dr Nassim had kept silence on the human rights abuses carried out by such terrorist outfits, showing their foreign-funded agendas and bias.
Meanwhile, Pakistan continues to give top priority to the uplift of Balochistan via major investments in governance, socio-economic development and infrastructure, underscoring its commitment to the province’s progress and stability.
