PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Urban Mobility Authority has decided to increase fares for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service in Peshawar.
According to an official notification, the fare per stop will be raised by Rs10, with the new rates coming into effect from July 1.
The Transport Department says the fare hike is due to rising inflation. Authorities added that the decision was necessary to reduce the financial losses being faced by the BRT project.
