Bushra Bibi secures interim bail in cases related to November 26

ISLAMABAD: Former first lady Bushra Bibi has secured interim bail in four cases related to the November 26 protest by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI).
Duty Judge Shabir Bhatti of the District and Sessions Court presided over the hearing.
Bushra Bibi, appeared in court with her legal team seeking bail in four cases registered at Tarnol police station and three at Ramana police station with allegations of incitement and planning linked to the PTI protest.
The court granted interim bail to Bushra Bibi until January 13 against surety bonds of Rs 50,000 for each case of November 26 protest.

Further hearings are scheduled in January.
An FIR registered at Ramna Police Station, previously sealed on higher authorities’ instructions, claims that the protest and its violent incidents were pre-planned.
The FIR alleges that the planning took place in Adiala Jail on the directives of Imran Khan and PTI leaders, including Bushra Bibi, Ali Amin Gandapur, Omar Ayub Khan, and Sheikh Waqas Akram, acted on Khan’s orders.
The protest allegedly targeted Rangers personnel, leading to fatalities. The FIR states that a Land Cruiser driver ran over three Rangers officials during the unrest. Other PTI leaders named in the case include Murad Saeed, Zulfi Bukhari, Rauf Hassan, and Hammad Azhar.
The charges against them include murder, terrorism, and incitement against government and military institutions.
