CAA refutes news of Karachi airport closure

KARACHI: The news about the closure of Karachi airport due to Biparjoy storm is not true as per a report of Pakistan’s state television.

The report says that spokesperson of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority refuted the news while informing that in case of bad weather forecast, safety measures are taken at the airports as per the standard operating procedures and it was normal for pilots to be constantly informed of wind speed and weather.

Civil aviation has already issued a cautionary notice to airlines and pilots in this regard and flight schedules may face disruptions during inclement weather.
