CDA approves four new sectors in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has given approval for the establishment of four additional sectors in the federal capital.
On Wednesday, a meeting of design works and planning was chaired by CDA Chairman Akhtar Mengal. The meeting was attended by officers from the planning commission as well as members of the CDA board.
During the session, the project concept- (PC-1) of sectors C-13, D-13, E-13 and F13 was granted approval for development within Islamabad’s new sectors.
According to estimates presented in the meeting, the cost of Sector C-13 is projected to be around Rs278 million. This particular sector will feature high-rise buildings and apartments. Sector D-13, on the other hand, comprises a total of 5,468 plots.
Additionally, the PC-1 for the development of Sector E-13 was also approved in the meeting. Moreover, the development work for Sector F-13 received approval as well.
Sector F-13 encompasses a total of 13,342 plots, and the completion of this sector is estimated to require a budget of Rs12,767 million.
At the meeting, the plan for Orchard Heights was approved. Furthermore, the construction of Eleventh Avenue, connecting Sector F-10 and Sector F-11 to Colonel Sher Khan, was also approved
The meeting also gave the go-ahead for the construction of a national bus terminal, which will be established at a cost of Rs4,252 million.
