CDA board members return to original roles following ECP directive


In a recent development, two board members of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have been reassigned to their original portfolios, according to an official notification.

Waseem Hayat Bajwa, who held the position of Member Planning, and Mazhar Hussain, who served as Member Finance, had been on deputation with the CDA. According to the notification, they have been reverted back to Inland Revenue Department of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had initiated the request of change of members by writing letters to the CDA Chairman as well as Interior Ministry’s Secretary.

It has been reported that a comprehensive list of officers and employees currently working on deputation within the CDA has been compiled. Some of these individuals have been posted on deputation for a second time.

Furthermore, this list not only encompasses officers but also includes drivers and deputy messengers who are currently on deputation. Additionally, a number of constables and head constables from the Islamabad police force have also been detailed to serve within the CDA.

In another update, during the hearing of the case related to the transfer of CDA members, it was informed that the Ministry of Interior and Establishment Division followed the orders of the ECP.
The Ministry of Interior and Establishment Division has submitted the implementation report to the ECP as well.
Member Admin of CDA will be transferred today, the Establishment Division officials said, adding that Member Finance and Member Engineering have also been removed.
