Chair dispute sparks brawl between families at Karachi restaurant

KARACHI: A minor disagreement over a chair escalated into a brawl between two families, including the Sindh Home Secretary’s family, at a private restaurant in Karachi Defence’s Khayaban-e-Sehar area.

The altercation eventually led to police involvement and nearly resulted in legal action before being settled.

According to details, a dispute over a table chair led to a heated exchange, drawing in both families’ adults, with women from both sides engaging in slaps and punches.

The incident of the brawl at a Karachi restaurant was captured on video, which has since gone viral.

Police sources report that once it was known that one family involved was that of the Sindh Home Secretary, senior police officials arrived at the scene.

Both families insisted on filing complaints against each other.

The situation was resolved at the police station following the intervention of influential figures, leading both parties to reach an amicable settlement.
