Chinese troops to join Pakistan’s National Day military parade

ISLAMABAD: Chinese armed forces have announced their intention to participate in Pakistan’s upcoming National Day military parade on March 23.

The announcement was made yesterday by Zhang Xiaogang, the spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense of China.

In an official statement, he said, “At the invitation of the Pakistani military, the Guard of Honor of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will send a contingent to Pakistan in mid-to-late March to participate in the Pakistan Day Parade.”

This underscores the deepening ties between Pakistan and China, showcasing their strong bilateral relations and strategic cooperation.

It is noteworthy that Chinese troops first participated in Pakistan’s Republic Day Parade in 2017, marking a milestone in the military collaboration between the two nations.
