CIA building in I-9 declared sub-jail

ISLAMABAD: Authorities in Islamabad have declared CIA building in sector I-9 of the federal capital as a sub-jail, where individuals arrested during the PTI arrest would be detained.
A notification to this effect has been issued by Chief Commissioner Islamabad. The CIA building has been declared a sub-jail under section 3 of the Prisoners Act 1894.
The approval for the sub-jail has been given by the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry.
According to the notification, individuals arrested during the protest will be detained in this sub-jail.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police has made all arrangements to contain the PTI protest convoy that is making its way into Islamabad. A large number of Punjab police force as well as Rangers have been deployed at 26 no Chungi. Prisoner Vans have also arrived at the scene.

The police are equipped with tear gas, rubber bullets and anti-riot equipment.
The PTI leader Imran Khna has given a final call for the protest to meet its four demands: release of all political prisoners, including Imran Khan, reversal of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, restoration of democracy and Constitution in the country and return of allegedly “stolen mandate”.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has pledged to restrict protestors outside Islamabad and stated that all measures will be taken in line with the Islamabad High Court order to ensure peace
He said that police and Frontier Corps (FC) and Rangers are performing their duties amicably.
