Civil judge’s wife allegedly tortures domestic helper

ISLAMABAD: The judge of a local in Sargodha has allegedly critically tortured a 14-year-old domestic helper.

According to the Sargodha District Police Officer, the girl had 15 torture marks on her head and her wounds were infested with worms.

The parents of the girl have accused the judge’s wife of subjecting their daughter to torture. They said that they had sent their daughter to work at the residence of Senior Judge Asim Hafeez in Sialkot seven months ago.

The police have taken the person responsible for employing the girl into custody while the victim has been shifted from Sargodha to a hospital in Lahore.
